Allie F. Ponder, Esq.

Allie F. Ponder

Allie received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Georgia Southern University - Armstrong in 2017, then matriculated at Southern University in Baton Rouge where she received her juris doctorate (with cum laude honors) in May 2020. During law school, Allie worked as a summer law clerk with Manly Shipley.  After taking the Georgia bar exam, Allie began practicing with another plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Atlanta from December 2020 until 2025.  In January 2026, Allie joined Manly Shipley as an attorney.  Allie is based in Atlanta, GA.

Since becoming licensed to practice, Allie Ponder (née Jones) has recovered over $15 million for her clients who have suffered serious injuries. Allie’s practice area focuses on serious motor vehicle collisions, trucking collisions, premises liability and/or apartment crimes, and medical malpractice. Allie is passionate about using her powers for good and advocating for people who have been injured by the fault of someone else.

Allie has had a passion for serving others her whole life. When she was a young child, she and her mother would spend some holidays feeding the homeless and volunteering at the battered women’s shelter in her hometown. Continuing her purpose in service, Allie is a proud Fall 2015 initiate of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Allie currently serves as a member on the Young Leaders Council for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, the organization’s junior executive board. Allie is a member of the UGLA-YP which is an auxiliary of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta and is comprised of young professionals across metro Atlanta who are dedicated to serving their local communities through social and community activism. Also, Allie is a member of the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyer Division.

Allie also has an expectation of excellence for herself in her practice as an attorney, and she strives to do all things for her clients in decency and order. Evidencing her dedication to doing good work, Allie has won several individual awards. For several years, Allie has been named in the National Black Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40. Consistently, Allie has also received Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star awards every single year since 2023. Only the top 2.5% of attorneys in Georgia who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less, are selected as Rising Stars.

Allie Ponder is originally from Savannah, Georgia. She currently resides in the East Atlanta/Decatur area with her law school sweetheart and husband, Rashad; their daughter; as well as her two dogs: Mr. McCall, a 5-pound Yorkshire Terrier, and Lonzo, a 15-pound Shihtzu Bichon Mix (both named after characters played by her favorite actor, Denzel Washington). When she is not fighting zealously for her clients, Allie likes hosting gatherings with her family and friends, cooking, and running with her run club.
